Review

What I likeWhat I dislike
Broad spectrum mineral sunscreenTakes a while to dry down/set
Sheer to medium buildable coverageTransfers easily
Easy to apply with fingers or a brushCurrently only available on Beauty of Joseon website
Affordable

The product feels very lightweight. It’s quite glowy when first applied but becomes more of a natural glow when it dries down.

The product doesn’t feel oily, but when I touch my face it feels slightly emollient, like there’s product on my skin, and there’s a small amount of transfer from the pigments.

The dry down takes about 25 to 30 minutes when applied with a brush, which is a bit of an inconvenience at times (I have a bad habit of touching my face while I work). I use a generous amount of product all over my face because it is a sunscreen, which is probably why it takes so long to set. If you have normal to oily skin this will probably take longer to set.

While this product applied well using my fingers and a brush, I prefer a brush application because it’s quicker and cleaner. It works well applying with fingers but takes longer to blend and, since it’s a pigmented product, it can be messy. I think the dry down might be quicker when applied with fingers, but I have not tested this since I prefer to apply it with a brush now.

Comparisons

This product reminds me of the both the Lisa EldridgeSeamless Skin Enhancing Tint (Shade: T12) and the Clarins – Tinted Oleo Serum (Shade: 08) in a few ways:

  • Fluid formula (both have a fluid consistency)
  • Sheer to medium buildable coverage
  • Natural, skin-like finish

While I have been loving the Lisa EldridgeSeamless Skin Enhancing Tint (Shade: T12; Price: €45.00; €1.50 per mL) since it was released in 2024, the Beauty of JoseonDaily Tinted Fluid Sunscreen has quickly become my new favourite. It has slightly more coverage, it’s a broad spectrum mineral sunscreen, and it’s more affordable.

The Clarins – Tinted Oleo Serum (Shade: 08; Price: €38.00; €0.76 per mL) also has a similar fluid consistency; however, absorbs quicker into the skin (probably since it’s more of a serum). I struggled to find a proper shade match (I find this to be a common occurrence with Clarins’ complexion products), with shade 08 being a bit too golden for my skin tone.

Conclusions

I immediately liked this product since the first application and I have been using it almost every day. I love that you get both the benefits of a broad spectrum sunscreen and a glowy, tinted complexion product. I think it’s a great product for the Spring and Summer months, and also when you just want a minimal makeup look.

I will definitely purchase another but I am also curious to see how long the product lasts with (almost) every day use.
